poWERING STRONG COMMUNITIES

Tennyson Electric began in a home office, built from one man’s belief that opportunity can change the course of a life. Mike Tennyson didn’t start with major contracts or large crews—he started with intention, integrity, and the hope of creating a company where people could build a future. Thirty years later, that vision holds true. Tennyson Electric has grown into a trusted leader for some of the Bay Area’s largest and most complex underground electrical projects, known for professionalism, resilience, teamwork, and the ability to deliver even when conditions shift. The culture blends humility with excellence: employees stay for years—sometimes decades; new hires grow into leadership; teams take pride in each other’s wins; and clients return to Tennyson even when they aren’t the lowest bidder. This is a company built on belief, shaped by people, and strengthened by three decades of doing the job right. That history shows up every day in what we invest in most:

PEOPLE: Finding like-minded individuals who believe, value, and act like us.

PROGRESS: In self-development, learning, and continual improvement for everyone and the business.

COMMUNICATION: It is essential to everything we do.

What DIRTY Means

We work as a Team: We realize we cannot succeed alone. Partnering with people (employees, customers, and vendors) contributes to our overall success. We strive to find a win/win for all parties. We expect our team to be humble, smart, respectful, and accountable.

We need You (our employees): The only two things you can control are your effort and attitude. Controlling these seem easy, but require determination; resiliency; tenacity; learning; self-improvement; development; and taking action.

We are Respect: Our actions carry weight, and we strive to act with the intention to build trust knowing that everyone has value.

We take Initiative: We realize we can determine our success, and need to act in order to achieve it. Therefore, we identify problems, we own those problems, and we solve them.

We are Driven: We are competitive, gritty, and determined to achieve our goals. We take pride in ourselves and our work. We have a “Get er’ done” mentality, and strive to embody our early company motto, “Go Hard or Go Home.”

every year we invest in our local community - through sponsorships, fundraisers & volunteering

We don't just support communities through what we build, we support through our commitments.

To Sum It All Up:

You have done a wide range of things.  This will be the place to talk about your sponsoring families at Christmas, the diaper drive, sponsoring a Rodeo Princess and any other things you can think of. It's also a place to invite people to contact YOU directly if they are interesting in partnering with you.
